Abstract:
This study is related to the testing of lavender oil on people. This was important to have an experiment on because anxiety in horses could become dangerous. According to (TheTelegraph 2018) when horses were startled by an air horn, their heart rates returned to normal when they smelled the lavender. The objective of this experiment was to see if lavender oil would help calm horses down. This was researched by watching the horses with anxiety without the lavender oil for thirty minutes, then with it. My data suggests that lavender oil neither helps or doesn't help horses. This is like people, some calm down with different things some do not. Some horses were affected by the smell of lavender some were not. Though each horse sniffed at the diffuser, this shows they did know there was a scent there.
