The Attendance Office will be open for students from 8:30 till 3:45.
If your student is absent from school, you do not need to call or email attendance.
Please submit all notes for absences using the google form below or send a note in with your student when they return to school.
All notes must be turned in within three (3) days of a student's return.
NO EARLY DISMISSALS AFTER 3:15
Early dismissals are only accepted the day of the dismissal and can not be submitted via e-mail or by phone.
If the parent is not available for a verbal confirmation then the early dismissal will not be approved.
PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT CHANGES TO ATTENDANCE
GCS new attendance policy was implemented in the 2024-2025 school year. The policy states that any absences in excess of 5 days for a semester will not be excused without medical documentation. We strongly encourage parents and students to review the Attendance Guidelines in the WHS Student Handbook, which can be found on the
Greenville County Schools website ( GCS Attendance Rules ) or on the Attendance Policy tab located above.
