Early Dismissal Form
Complete the form linked below. This form can also be found on the Woodmont High School webpage. This form will be required to be completed in order to approve the early dismissal.
Early Dismissals can only be submitted date of dismissal
ALL EARLY DISSMISALS SUBMITTED ONLINE NEED TO BE SUBMITTED AT LEAST 1 HOUR PRIOR TO DISMISSAL TIME
The Front Office cannot accept voicemail, email, or a fax as an early dismissal request; only the completed google form that can be verified or a parent coming into the office can be accepted.
Reminder: Classes missed for an early dismissal count toward the first 5 days of allowable absences in any one class.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
All students - regardless of age - must have a dismissal from a parent/guardian
Students are counted present if they are in attendance for 1/2 of a class, so plan your early dismissals accordingly.
We strongly encourage early dismissals to take place during class changes to avoid disruption to instructional time. Please refer to the bell schedule.
All early dismissal requests will be verified by phone, so please be available to answer the phone call. If you will not be available to answer a phone call, please call the Main Office to verify.
Once an early dismissal is verified, the student will receive a SmartPass and can let the teacher know that the pass was created for them to leave. THIS IS THEIR PASS TO LEAVE THE BUILDING. PARENTS DO NOT HAVE TO COME IN TO SIGN THEIR STUDENT OUT UNLESS AN EARLY DISMISSAL WAS NOT SUBMITTED. THE PARENT WILL THEN HAVE TO COME IN TO THE FRONT OFFICE TO SIGN THE STUDENT OUT.
Walk-In dismissals, Parents/Guardians must show an ID and must be listed in the student's BackPack when signing a student out.
If the student returns to school later that same day, the student must enter through the Main Office. The student will receive a SmartPass/stamped slip which will serve as admission to enter the class in progress.
Early dismissals from the health room are handled as an approved early dismissal. Health room dismissals are considered parent notes, not doctor’s notes, and are not excused unless a doctor’s note is turned in to the attendance office.
