Students are responsible for the general care of the Chromebook issued to them by the District. Chromebooks that are broken or fail to work properly must be taken to the Media Center. All repair requests will be processed before school from 8:15-8:40 am or during Power Hour 11:40-12:40 in the Media Center.
Many issues with chromebooks failing to work properly can be resolved with a few troubleshooting steps. Beyond obvious repair issues, such as a cracked screen, students are asked to follow these steps outlined in the troubleshooting guide before submitting a repair request form.
If the troubleshooting steps have been followed and the Chromebook issue is still not resolved, students are asked to complete and submit the Chromebook Repair Request Form prior to going to the Chromebook Support Room.
After the repair form is submitted and the chromebook is turned in for repair, students will be provided with a different chromebook to use from the point on.
Though students are expected to first attempt the basic troubleshooting suggestions, they should never attempt any repairs themselves or obtain a repair through a third party.
Students who have paid their technology fee will be eligible for coverage on one case of accidental damage.
