By checking offline syncing in your Google Drive settings, you can access most of your work, edit documents, and create new ones. See the directions below on how to change your settings to allow you access to your files without Internet access. *Please note that you will need to be connected to wifi in order to enable the changes to your Google Drive settings.
Log into your school Google account and access your Google Drive. Select the settings cog at the top right of the screen as shown in the animation above.
Once you select Settings, a window will appear that features several Google Drive Settings options.
Check the box next to Offline - Sync your work to this computer so that you can edit offline.
You now should be able to create or edit Google Documents, Sheets, Slides, and Drawings. *Google Forms (to date) is currently not available as an app that can be edited without Wi-Fi access.
Some features may not work offline (such as adding images). The majority of the Google Apps will, however, function the same with offline sync settings enabled as they do while working with a Wi-Fi connection.
Once a student logs into his/her Google account and connects with Wi-Fi, any edits made while working offline will sync and update in the student's Google Drive.

Students may want to search and add apps from the Chrome Web Store that work offline. Filter your search results for apps and extensions that work without Internet access by checking Runs Offline under Features:
*Students may also want to check with local public libraries and ask about free Wi-Fi access for local students.
