Rethink Ed is an online platform for Social Emotional Learning for both educators and students K-12. We have adopted this platform with a consistent set of topics for all students. We encourage you to use the adult portion to lead staff activities to enhance learning and application of SEL throughout the year.

Unless given special permission, all schools should administer the ReThink Ed Fall and Spring Assessments. The Fall Assessment is open until the end of September. The Spring Assessment for Rethink ED SEL competencies is open from March 15th until May 31st. Please have every student complete this assessment within this time period. This should take approximately 20-30 minutes to complete. The page to the left has a hyperlink with directions/videos on how to assign the assessment, etc. This assessment can be completed instead of one of the SEL lessons.

Parent Letters Rethink Ed provides a family letter to access the website and look at the lesson content. We strongly encourage communication with families so they can understand and reinforce lessons.

Each school has autonomy and developing adult SEL. I recommend that you consider using the Rethink Ed adult SEL lessons for this work. For example, in a grade level meeting in September, have the team watch the training video for the next lesson and then have them complete the accompanying activity together.
In order for your teachers to receive credit for these training videos, they must pass the quiz and they will receive a certificate. Have them print and upload as an out of district PD.
