Please take the time to create a backpack account for parents. A backpack for parents account provides parents, guardians, or contacts with a central place to sign in to do the following:
View their student's information including demographics, attendance, classes, grades, lunch balances, and test scores
Apply or register their student to Special Focus schools and programs (Fine Arts Center, Career Centers, etc.)
Receive alerts and notifications regarding their students
View their student's school and contact information
Manage parent and contact information for their students
To create your parent backpack account follow the attached directions. Please note that parents only need to create a backpack account once. This is not an annual process.
Riverside High School is committed to encouraging parent involvement at our school. When parents can work side by side with administrators and teachers, our students achieve at their highest potential. Whether it's helping support our teachers through hospitality events, stuffing back-to-school packets, or doing a shift in the school store, all of these activities make Riverside High work, and make Riverside High staff have the most positive impact on our students.
Join the RHS PTSA HERE for the 2024-2025 school year. Any student, teacher or parent/family member can join for just $5. Your membership helps support PTSA programs all year long. We appreciate your support!
Please be sure that you carefully review the Orientation Packet document that was given to you/your student at Orientation. As a reminder, the hardcopy of the Student Emergency Form must be returned to your Advisory teacher during the first week of school. Also, all students must complete two required Google Forms (the Student Handbook Disclaimer and the Chromebook Agreement Form). All students should check Backpack on Monday morning prior to the start of school to access their most updated schedule as some adjustments are still being made to fix scheduling errors and ensure classes are not over maximum capacity.
Due to the restrictions implemented by the State, electronic devices, including smartwatches and accessories, cannot be worn during the school day.
Personal electronic devices must be either turned off or silenced during the school day and must be placed in their bookbag.
Do you know what the Booster Club does? At Riverside, we are here to raise money and create a winning and fun culture for our student athletes, families and the school itself. We are a non-profit in which 100% of the money raised goes back to our athletic teams or to make future events bigger and better each year.
After shutting down for two years due to the pandemic, the RHS Booster Club came back last year with several events including our Tailgate at Football games and the popular ESPY's Night in May. In 2025-26, we have even more planned but need your support!
How can you contribute and help your Booster Club? We have a membership drive that will start this week on GoFan. We are hoping that we can get the majority of families at Riverside to become a member. Not only is it tax deductible and inexpensive, it directly helps your coaches and students through athletic needs and wants. There is strength in numbers! We are also looking for Corporate sponsors for some of our events. If you own a business or would like to introduce us to someone that may have an interest, we want to talk with them. Have them reach out to JD Nelson or Nathan Headley with the RHS Booster Club or message us through this site.
Please follow our Facebook page Riverside Warrior Booster Club and Twitter @RHSWarriorClub and look for the Booster Club table at our home football games this year!
