STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS
DECA is an international student organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management. Students build leadership skills, compete in business events, travel to conferences, and prepare for future careers. We are also accepting officer applications if you'd like to be a leader in DECA. We hope to see you on August 20th at 3:45 pm in H-104!
Are you interested in exploring the world? Come learn what Atlas Club is all about, meet other students who love travel, geography, culture, and adventure, and play a fun game! This Friday, August 21, right after school in the media center. No commitment required - just come see what we're about!
Key Club is holding their interest meeting on August 28th at 8:10 AM in K120. Key Club is a community service organization that works to serve our local community. Come on out if you're interested!
On Thursday, August 20th at 8 am and 4 pm we are having a Youth in Government interest meeting in Mr. Fitt’s room G120.
The first meeting for Beta Club will be Sept. 1 in M101 at either 8:15 or 3:50. You can also Google meet into the meeting. This is for returning members. Upperclassmen may start applying for the club on Sept 1st. There will be a google form on the school website as well as Ms. Becker's website and all applications will be due Sept. 15. Freshman will have the opportunity to apply in January. Look for an announcement after winter break.
Anyone interested in FCA leadership should stop by Ms. Welmaker in K103 or Mr. Rhodes in K110 to pick up an application.
Homecoming Information! Check your grade-level Google Classroom for information about Homecoming Court Nominations and the Homecoming Dance. Please submit your Homecoming Court Nominations by Sunday, August 23rd using the nomination form posted in Google Classroom. Then you will get to vote for Class Attendants August 25th-30th!
Homecoming Game: September 25th
Homecoming Dance: Saturday, September 26th (7-10pm) at Greenville Convention Center
Rho Kappa (The National History Honor Society) is accepting applications for the 2026-2027 school year. Students who are Juniors or Seniors with a 4.0 in their Social Studies classes may stop by Mrs. Rollins (G112) room to pick up an application. Applications are due no later than September 11th.
Anyone interested in joining the Pet Rescue Alliance please join use for the interest meeting Wednesday, 8/26 before school at 8AM or after school at 4PM in Mrs. Smith's room, J116.
