Attire Details for Senior Portraits:
Senior Portrait Apparel - please read if you are taking senior portraits this coming week!
There are two types of pictures being taken, and each one has its own apparel. You can show up in whatever and we will make sure you have appropriate attire for your yearbook photo. Details and options are below.
1. Yearbook Photos
These are the formal pictures that go into the yearbook. Boys traditionally wear a tux or suit and tie; girls wear a black drape or black top/dress.
PROVIDED:
Tux shirt, jacket & tie OR Black velvet drape - we have these items on hand and will fit you so you can wear them for your photo.
If you are planning to use Images' attire, please take note: boys should wear a white or light colored t-shirt and girls should wear something that can pull down off the shoulders (preferably not sports bras).
OPTIONAL:
If you prefer to wear your own clothing, you are free to do so, but you must follow these guidelines:
boys should wear a dark jacket, white shirt and tie of their choosing
girls should wear a black top or dress that has no print or shine to it.
Religious headwear such as hijab is entirely appropriate, but please aim for classic or muted colors for the yearbook photo.
Jewelry - optional but the traditional jewelry with the velvet drape is a simple pendant necklace or pearls with simple stud or pearl earrings. This is not a rule, just a tradition, so take it for what it is and be yourself.
2. Casual Photos
These are optional photos that you can have taken for no extra cost (moms like them, though, so not a bad idea).
For these photos, you wear whatever clothing you prefer, and the photographer will put you in various poses and backgrounds.
If you are planning to take casual photos, come dressed for these, and we will do your yearbook photo after casuals are taken.
Most students choose dressy casual attire for this such as sundresses, khakis & polo shirts, etc. You may wear what you like, so feel free to be yourself!

Ever wonder how the yearbook gets made???
Consider joining the yearbook staff for the 2024-25 school year! Applications are now live in grade level Google Classrooms, and interviews will take place in January/February. We have about five spots open for next year, so put your best foot forward if you are hoping to make the cut!
The yearbook is a student publication. Staff work hard all year to create a yearbook which reflects the students and activities of the year while meeting publisher deadlines, including a final deadline of March 15, 2023. As with any student created project, we want to acknowledge the hard work, collaboration, and creativity that goes into creating a 300 (give or take) page professional publication.
We do our best to make as few errors as possible, but we are not perfect. No single staff member is responsible for errors or oversights. Please direct any concerns or corrections to the adviser, Karen Erickson at keerickson@greenville.k12.sc.us. We always welcome suggestions for next year and, of course, positive feedback.
ONCE A BOOK HAS BEEN WRITTEN IN IT CAN NO LONGER BE REFUNDED. Yearbook is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged (after pickup) yearbooks. If you suspect a yearbook has been stolen, please report it to security and administration.
LOOK AT YOUR BOOK: After reviewing your book for errors which may have occurred in the printing process, such as upside-down pages, damaged pages, or other issues, please write your first and last name inside, to avoid theft.
