Assignments

We will be using Google Classroom in class daily. Here we will post discussions, assignment instructions, complete assignments, and blog posts. This is where you will turn in all of your assignments.

Students should use their gmail account to log into Google Classroom (districtusername@greenvilleschools.us) and use their username (1st letter of 1st name + 1st 5 letters of last name + last 4 digits of student ID) and password (birthday in numbers) for logging onto their computer.

Course Description:

In this introductory course, you will be introduced to the discipline of ceramic arts through the exploration of techniques, skills, and styles. We will learn about ceramics artists of our time, artists of the past, and ourselves as artists. The art that we will create will be three- dimensional sculptural and functional work. We will learn basic techniques in hand building with clay, such as slab and coil building. There will be opportunities for you to expand your creativity and push your minds to the limit while learning the basics of ceramic art.
