Students are expected to be:
- Present, on time, and in assigned seat by the bell
- Prepared for class
- Hardworking and focused
- Respectful and courteous
- Turn in work on time.
All students are responsible for:
- Completing and turning in each and every assignment by its due date.
- If not finished, find time to come into the classroom and work on it. Late work gets points deducted each day that it is not turned in.
- Earning and maintaining their overall grade and demonstrating successful progression toward meeting performance objectives through the following means:
- Keep lab clean. No food, candy, or drinks in the lab to ensure health, safety and preservation of individual art and lab equipment priorities. Drinks with very secure lids or left on the far wall are acceptable.
- Working on related arts goals for 100% of class period.
- Participate in class discussions, critiques, and other class activities.
- Create original works of art that meet lesson objectives and rubrics.
- Be attentive and respectful toward teacher, substitute teacher, other artists, class space, demonstrations, and the overall classroom environment.
- Demonstrating proper care and maintenance of equipment, tools, work space, and supplies.
- Attending open classroom hours when needed (times to be announced).
If a student damages, destroys, or substantially decreases the value of school property, the principle shall require the student’s parent to make restitution.
