Interested in learning more about Culinary Arts or Diesel Technology? Then consider this paid afterschool program opportunity sponsored by a grant from the United Way of Greenville County. Application Deadline is August 27th at 5:00pm.

Students will experience hands-on instruction in the state-of-the-art labs at Donaldson Career Center, under the direction of certified instructors. Activities will simulate tasks required in the selected industry, and will give students opportunities to learn more about careers in these lucrative fields. Students will also be able to earn their OSHA-10 Certification through this course. 

Course details:

• Course Dates: September 15 – November 12, 2026 (Tuesday & Thursday, 4:15pm-7:15pm)

• Location: Donaldson Career Center – 100 Vocational Dr. Greenville, SC 29605

• Total Course Hours = 51 hours (17 sessions X 3 hours)

• Students will receive $15 pay per hour (51 X 15 = $765)

• Students will receive a $100 bonus for completing OSHA-10 certification.

• Students will receive a complimentary meal during each training session.

• Students/parents must provide their own transportation if selected for the program.

• Only available for students in 9th grade
