Roper Mountain Science Center is now accepting high school volunteers during the school year! If you are interested, you can volunteer at Afternoon Explorations. Shifts are available on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30 to 5 pm.
For underclassmen, there are several summer volunteering options!

Boo in the Zoo volunteer
Dates & Times:
October 14th -18th and October 21st- 31st
3:00PM to 9:00PM
Jobs:
Candy Concierge: Volunteer responsibilities may include handing out candy, toys, drinks and other duties designated by the zoo staff.
Costume Characters: Volunteer responsibilities come dressed in a friendly costume and be ready to engage with guests and take photos.

Reminders
Volunteers must have their own Volunteer Local Account.
Volunteers must be 14 and older.
Volunteers aged 13 your parent or guardian must sign up and volunteer with you.
Shifts are not available.
You must be able to stay till the end and your station is closed.
The event is outdoors rain or shine.
If you can arrive by 4:30PM that will be great.

Who can attend? Any student! These are not grade level specific.
What days will they be? MULTIPLE DAYS EACH WEEK
What time of day? All student lunches
How do I sign up? No need! Just swing by.
How do I get a pass? If for any reason there is a college that is visiting outside of your lunch time, please talk with your counselor.
