Adelaide Fackler (Director):
Mrs. Fackler grew up in Birmingham, Alabama and went to college at Furman University where she majored in Psychology and French. After graduation, she moved to Colorado for a year and then returned home to go to graduate school at the University of Alabama. She completed her Masters in Counselor Education and then moved to Orlando with her husband, Leo. They returned to Greenville in 2008 and she began working for the Greenville County Virtual School and Twilight School. In 2009, she was fortunate to join the Greenville High family. She was the junior counselor for 6 years, during which time she had two sons- Davis (13) and James (10), and she added a baby girl (Grace) in 2020. She is beginning her 9th year as Director of Counseling.
Jennifer Binder (Career Development):
Mrs. Binder grew up in Aiken, South Carolina and attended Clemson University for both her undergrad and Master's degrees. Clemson is also where she met her husband, Chris. They have been married for 20 years and have three children. Ellis is an 11th grader at Greenville High, Kathryn is an 8th grader at League Academy, and Caroline is a fifth grader at Stone Academy. She taught middle school for two years and has had several roles in the school counseling department including the freshman counselor and senior counselor. This will be her 22nd year at Greenville High!
Josh Menk (Last Names A-C):
This is Mr. Menk’s 13th year as a counselor in Greenville County Schools. Prior to working for the district, he spent time working for the department of mental health as well as other community based counseling centers. He received his undergraduate degree from Concordia University in St. Paul, Minnesota in Psychology and his Masters from Clemson University. In addition to holding his School Counseling Certification, he also holds his License as a Professional Counselor with the State of South Carolina. He and his wife Mindy have been married for 15 years and have two girls; Nellie and Pearl.
Becky Stone (Last Names D-He):
Mrs. Stone was born and raised in Roswell, GA and attended Furman University for undergrad. She and her husband Ryan have been married for 19 years and have 3 kids - Will is a senior at Wade Hampton HS, John is a junior at Wade Hampton HS, and Emily in in 7th grade at Sevier MS. She holds Master's Degrees from Converse College and Arkansas State University, as well as National Board Certification. Mrs. Stone spent 19 years teaching Honors and AP History at Dorman High School, Travelers Rest High School and Riverside High School before moving into School Counseling. She is starting her 3rd year in her counseling career at Greenville High!
Jamie Wier (Last Names Hi-Ma):
Mrs. Wier grew up in Peachtree City, GA, and went to college at the University of Georgia (go Dawgs!), where she majored in Psychology. Following her undergraduate education, she moved to Atlanta for her masters and specialist degrees at Georgia State University. After starting her counseling career in Atlanta, she and her husband, Garrison, moved to Denver, CO, and Seattle, WA. After being away from home for six years, she moved back to the southeast in 2021 to join Greenville High and lay down roots with her husband and dog, Goose. She now has a baby girl named Reynolds and a new puppy named Duck. This is her 4th year with the Greenville High family and her 12th year counseling high school students.
Margaret Parsons (Last Names Mc-R):
Mrs. Parsons is originally from Georgia and went to the University of Georgia where she majored in Psychology. After working in the mental health field for two years in Charlotte, NC, she moved to Charleston and pursued her graduate degree in school counseling at the Citadel. Mrs. Parsons and her husband Mark welcomed their first baby, Hank, born October 2023. This is her 9th year at Greenville High School as a counselor.
Ginger Walker (Last Names S-Z):
Mrs. Walker attended Erskine College in South Carolina and graduated with a BA in Psychology and Certification in Secondary Education. She began her career teaching Psychology at Hillcrest High School for four years before becoming a School Counselor there. Mrs. Walker also attended Clemson University and received a MEd. in Secondary Administration, which led to becoming an Assistant Principal and Principal of Greenville High School. She was also an Assistant Principal at Wade Hampton High School. Mrs. Walker is most proud of her three children: Mary Dameron Milliken is a Commercial Real Estate Attorney, Charles Stuart is Vice President of Hood Construction, and Margaret Murphy is a teacher at Augusta Circle Elementary, now seeking her Administrative Certification. All three children graduated from Greenville High School.
Theresa Neuer (Special Projects/504 Coordinator):
Mrs. Neuer grew up in Coral Springs, Florida and attended Palm Beach Atlantic University for her undergraduate degree in psychology and her graduate degree in counseling psychology. She has been a school counselor since 2005 and has worked in elementary, middle and high school. She and her husband moved to Greenville in 2010. They have 2 children - Justin, who is in first grade and Sofia who is in 5th grade. In her free time you will find her spending time with friends and family and hiking mountains.
