FIHS has a running list of scholarships and scholarship websites we will continuously add to throughout the year! These are just some suggestions, we also recommend utilizing the scholarship match resource in Schoolinks as well as doing your own research on scholarships that may apply to you!
The South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) is excited to announce that applications for the 2026-27 College Process Ambassador Program are now open! From now until July 1st, high school juniors and seniors across the state have the opportunity to apply to become one of our ambassadors.
Our College Process Ambassadors play a vital role in supporting their peers by:

Assisting others through community outreach.
Promoting and participating in key college access events such as College Application Month, College Goal SC (FAFSA First), and College and Career Decision Month.
Creating and sharing engaging social media content on SCCANGO platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube).
Ambassadors obtain up to $1,000 in scholarship funds, personalized support and feedback from CHE, and professional training on how to support other students during the college application journey.
To be considered for the program, students must submit:
A completed nomination form (must be submitted by counselor, principal or other school official).
An unofficial copy of high school transcript.
A College Process Ambassador application (including a 1,500 word essay).
