What is AP (advanced placement) testing/coursework?
AP Testing refers to the Advanced Placement exams you take to show your mastery of college-level course material in subjects like math, science, history, languages, and the arts. When you score a 3 or higher (on a scale of 1 to 5) on an AP exam, you can earn college credit or place into advanced college courses, helping you save time and money in your college journey.
A score of 3 or better on at least one AP exam qualifies a student as college ready.
Any student interested in participating must be recommended for an AP course. If you have any questions regarding a particular course, it is best to discuss that with the course instructor or your counselor.
