About Me

My name is Betsy Brown, and I am a PRES teacher.  We are "Brown's Brainiacs," because we are growing synapses and making connections in our brains. We create, plan, design, collaborate, and have fun learning.

   I can’t wait to begin each day!

I have a Masters in Teaching from Converse College, and a B.A. from Agnes Scott College. I'm a NBCT teacher.  My background includes teaching and student teaching at Pelham Road Elementary School, writing for a newspaper, a volunteer coordinator for non-profits, special events planning, and over 18 years in schools in PTA leadership. 

Keith and I have two wonderful daughters, Ashley and Katherine. Katherine is married to our wonderful son-in-law, Bennett.   We love to travel, read, and visit the beach and NC mountains.
