These activities have been created to allow you to put into practice the skills listed under each skill level. The only way to become proficient in the use of Google is to actually put it into regular use.
Create a new blank Google Doc called "Lesson Plan Template". Go into your Google Drive and be sure you know where this file has been saved. If the file is not in your "Lesson Plans" folder, move the Doc into this folder (if you do not have a Lesson Plans folder, you should create one now). Use what you learned in this session to setup a Doc that can be used for your weekly lesson plans. Once finished make a copy of the document and rename it with the current week to be used for your lesson plan. Add all the necessary content for the weeks lessons. Use this document to turn in as your lesson plans for the week.
Design a worksheet that you can use to with your students. Include some of the formatting features of this level (for example: change the page setup to a non standard size, build content in tables to make the flow of the content easier to follow, add relevant links to the document). Assign this document to your class via Google Classroom (see Google Classroom lessons for help with this) giving each student a copy. If this was a real "Parent Newsletter" template, you could add a "Star" to the document that would make it easier for you to find it quickly.
