There are no specific tasks for this level in Google Classroom. Since just about everything teachers do using Google Apps for Education should be connected to Google Classroom, we feel it should be mastered at the early levels. Be sure to review all the tasks in L1 and L2 to be sure you understand everything prior to taking the Google Level Two Certification exam.
These activities have been created to allow you to put into practice the skills listed under each skill level. The only way to become proficient in the use of Google is to actually put it into regular use.
Create a new Google Classroom to use during the current school year. Find the "class code" for this new class and use it with your students to have them join your new class. Create a new "Material" item in the "Classwork" area and create a new topic in it called "Class Resources". Add resources from your Google drive that will be helpful for your students (i.e. a Class Rules Google Doc, a Specials Schedule Google Doc, Important Dates PDF, Course description Google Doc, etc). Make a new assignment that you would like students to do in the coming week. Add the necessary supporting documents to the assignment including giving each student a copy of documents you want them to work on individually. Be sure to add a due date so the assignment appears on the Google Calendar. When finished grade the assignment and return it to the students.
Create a new assignment in your Google Classroom that will require students to turn in a Google Doc (you can assign them a doc and give each student a copy or just have them turn a Google Doc in that they have created). Go into the grading area and provide feedback using your comment bank of saved comments and then return the documents to your students. On another upcoming assignment reuse a post from a Google Classroom you have archived from a previous school year (obviously if you do not have an archived classroom or an assignment to use from an old classroom, you will not be able to perform this part of the activity).
Continue to use Google Classroom as the primary tool to assign work to students.
