ABA therapy involves focusing on reinforcement principles (positive and negative)
and employs evidence-based teaching strategies and techniques,(DTT, NET, Prompts, Fading and Shaping)
to teach an individual new skills and to bring about positive and meaningful change in behavior.
The guiding principles of behavior:
-is largely a product of its immediate environment.-is strengthened or weakened by its consequences.-ultimately responds better to positive than to negative consequences.*Whether a behavior has been punished or reinforced is known only by the course of that behavior in the future.
