Hello, my children. Tessa here! Sadly, I was born earlier than many of you, so I'm disappearing forever in May. Not very skibidi rizz, my friends. When I'm not cranking out articles three hours before the deadline, I am jamming out to my jammy jammy playlist with Sabrina Carpenter and Taylor Swift or playing Sims 4 until daylight reappears. I also have an obsession with my celebrity husband and tri-weekly fling-- who will remain anonymous for copyright purposes and their safety-- but, just so you know, they are so alpha coquette core. Zoo wee MAMA. As President of The Scroll this year, I promise to deliver Kenergy to all of you. Let's make this year a good one, guys- Rock on! CAMP ROCK.

Audrey Roetling

The Scroll Vice President

Hello! My name is Audrey Roetling, and I am a junior this year. At the high school, I am involved in Leadership, National Honor Society, and Youth Alive. This year I took the position as the varsity football statistician and I am the president of the Mock Trial, which is my livelihood. Outside of school, I am a camp counselor for Wilderness Trails and involved in River Valley’s youth group.

As far as writing for The Scroll, I love to write articles to bring awareness to clubs, sports, events, and classes on campus through interviews and research. I also love to write articles on modern politics. I find it very important for America’s future voters to be aware of current political events. I try my best to write these types of articles from an unbiased perspective, because it is important to me to paint a picture of current events through facts and multiple sources to encourage individual research, rather than offer my own conclusions.

Riley Barta

Hello, I'm Riley. I am a junior here at GPHS. I enjoy things and I, sometimes, dislike things. Too much of my time is spent sobbing to Hozier songs (Wasteland Baby! Oh, how I love thee). I love fishing, hiking, and generally being outdoors. My goal is to anger Tyrrell and make her job just a little bit harder. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I hope you have a good time with The Scroll this year.

I make sure all the formatting and links work properly in The Scroll, and I also manage the homepage. If you notice any glaring issues or have ideas for what The Scroll should look like, then feel free to let me know.

Averie Black

Hey there! I’m Averie Black, and I am a senior at GP. This is my fourth year writing for The Scroll, and I run Creative Corner. You will also see me writing literature and book review articles! I mostly read within fantasy, literary fiction, and romance genres. When I was little, I had an unhealthy obsession with Percy Jackson and now that the TV show is out, I have an unhealthy obsession with that, too. As PR Manager, I'm in charge of all of the posters and Instagram posts you see, so follow us at @gphscroll!

Hi, my little lovelies, Rylie here! I am a junior this year at GPHS. I enjoy my ninja-like turtles and my singing role model is Fat Amy. I am a great crafter, artist, and Camp Rock dancer, because I'm built different 😼. I'm not like other girls, guys... Heh heh *Debby Ryan hair tuck*. I often write articles about my turtle mans and childhood nostalgia. I also dominate like a coquette sigma alpha wolf at Mario Kart. I like to obliterate Toad because it is an eat-or-get-eaten world out here, guys. This is my third year writing for The Scroll and I feel so privileged to be involved in such an extremely impactful experience. As treasurer, I solemnly swear to do the best and only the best for our Scrollian community!

Hi, I'm Ace. I'm a senior at GP and this is my second year writing for The Scroll. I like toxicology and floriography-- the study of poisons and the language of flowers-- so I hope to write articles about the historical uses of poisons and the meanings behind flowers. Apart from a maybe morbid interest, I like to read and draw. My favorite author is F.T. Lukens, and my favorite book is Spellbound, though They Both Die at the End by Adam Silvera is a close second.

I get hyper-fixated on little topics sometimes, so I may write one-off articles about cartoons or games that pique my interest. If you have a poison of some sort that you would like me to write about, then contact me at l.case@d7apps.gp.k12.or.us.

Hello, there. My name is Melanie, and I'm a sophomore. I'm new to The Scroll. I like to write about school events, pop culture, and politics. I also occasionally like to draw cartoons! Aside from the school newspaper, I'm an attorney on our school's Mock Trial team. I like reading and scrolling on Instagram. You can usually find me studying, doing homework, or watching Instagram reels. I'll probably be spotted drinking matcha or coffee instead of water. I like to listen to Marina and the Diamonds, Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, and Taylor Swift. I love Gossip Girl and fantasy novels. I also want to get a law degree when I graduate.

Hi, my name is Bella, and I'm a sophomore here at GPHS. I just joined The Scroll, but I hope to start making a fun horoscope section. I don't know what I want to be when I get out of high school, but I hope it's something that can make a difference in the world.

Heyyy, My name is Dani and I'm a journalist on The Scroll team! I'm currently in ninth grade and spend most of my time playing music in the GPHS Marching Band and Jazz Ensemble. Music is a huge part of my life but, any other time, I'm in the club room, writing away. I usually write about current political topics, GPHS bands or just general GP updates; when it comes to more personal interests, I love cheesy romance, comedies and historical fiction media. A good synopsis of my general being is: the more sparkles, the better.

A goal I try to set for myself is to smile more and help others do the same. I want to be an outgoing and creative person. Writing has honestly helped me do just that.

Heyyy! I am a freshman at GPHS. I enjoy photography, reading historical fiction, and hanging out with friends in my free time. I like to play tennis doubles with my friends and look forward to trying out this year. My favorite food is sushi, and I love to try all different kinds of foods. In the summer, you can usually find me swimming or camping at national parks. I have seven pets, whom I love dearly, and I am a big family person. I enjoy writing about pretty much anything that interests me at the moment or events related to the month: holidays, dances, etc).
