Happy Spring!

It is hard to believe that there are only 2 more months of school.  I am very excited to share our Spring Concert's with you all in just a few weeks!  

Spring Concert Cycle Calendar Highlights

• April 11 - Jazz I Combo at the Night of Giving - 5:15 at the Ozaukee Non-Profit Center

• April 25-27 - Musical Performances

• April 29 - WW Choir Performance @ Chamber of Commerce Event - 4:45 at the Ozaukee Non-Profit Center

• May 2 - Spring Jazz Concert @ 7pm

• May 17 - Mattress Sale

• May 18 - Spring Band Concert - THE POWER OF MUSIC

• May 23 - GHS Arts Fair/Music Banquet (more below)

• May 26 - Memorial Day Parade

• June 8 - Graduation - Call is 9:00am for Percussion, 9:30 for Winds

Band Camp Dates!

Just a reminder that the Band Camp Dates for this summer are July 28-August 1!

Pit Schedule

Reminders about the Pit Orchestra schedule over the next 3 weeks.  April 8 and 10, rehearsal begins at 5.  April 14-16 is tech week and rehearsals start at 5:15.  April 21-24 is show week and rehearsals start at 5:15.  Shows are April 25-27 at 7, 7, and 2.

As a reminder, all rehearsal start times are not the arrival time.  You should be warmed up and ready to start the overture at the start time.  Any late arrivals should be communicated ASAP.

Banquet - May 23

This year we are changing up the banquet a little bit.  The evening will begin with an arts fair.  From 3-5pm chamber groups will be invited to perform while the art show is going on.  At 5, we will begin the banquet.  Food will be hors d'oeuvres and desserts.  This year we are combining with the choir for our banquet.  We will have a fun recap of the year, recognize student leadership, recognize the seniors, and give out the main 4 awards(Jazz, Director's, Sousa, Choral).  Band choice awards and the Drum Major ceremony will be done at a in-class ceremony.

Mattress Sale

This year's mattress sale is on Saturday, May 17.  We have our meeting to kick off the sale on Wednesday, April 30 at 6:00pm.  Remember, student's earn money for every parent that attends the meeting.
