Ms. Sapien is an accomplished and dedicated Academic Lead Counselor at North Shore Senior High, bringing 20 years of experience in supporting elementary, middle, and high school students with their academic and emotional needs. With a specialization in Academic Counseling, Ms. Sapien effectively utilizes her extensive experience to address both the emotional and academic requirements of her students. Assisting families in both English and Spanish.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and a Masters of Science degree in School Counseling, Ms. Sapien has made significant contributions to the field of counseling throughout her career. Her dedication and strengths have been recognized at North Shore Senior High, where she has been nominated for the HEB Counselor of the Year award and selected as the Campus School Counselor of the Year. While her professional life is centered at North Shore Senior High, it is her interactions with students, their joy and accomplishments as they achieve their goals, that truly motivates her each day.
Outside of her role at North Shore Senior High, Ms. Sapien enjoys singing as a means to inspire and uplift others. She also cherishes spending quality time with her loved ones, and although challenging at times, finding balance and fulfillment in her personal life.

Pamela Wallace has had the privilege of serving students at the secondary level since August of 2006. She enjoys the day-to-day interaction with students who are learning, maturing, and taking their journeys to the next level. Mrs. Wallace attended the University of Houston and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communications. She was an English/Communication Applications teacher for six years and later pursued a Master of Science in School Counseling from the University of Houston Clear Lake. She has been a secondary counselor since that time and has enjoyed each year of service in the public-school setting.

Neasia Arceneaux is a dedicated School Counselor with a strong foundation in Secondary English. she started her educational journey at Texas Southern University earning a Bachelor of Science in Education before venturing into counseling and earning a M.Ed. in School Counseling. Arceneaux brings a unique perspective to supporting students academically and emotionally and is passionate about student success. As a high school counselor, her goal is to provide academic and responsive services to help guide students in their present and future endeavors. Through individualized support and a student-centered approach, she is committed to empowering students to reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom.

Mrs. Hardin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Sam Houston State University. She is currently pursuing her Master's in Higher Education, along with an Academic Advising Certificate, and is expected to graduate in December 2025. Mrs. Hardin worked for over two years as an admissions counselor and recruiter at Sam Houston State University. In this role, she supported students through the transfer process, assisted first-time freshmen with admission requirements, reviewed admission essays, and provided assistance in the financial aid office. Mrs. Hardin is passionate about working with students and guiding them in their college coursework and future pathways. She plays a vital role in the college and career center, as well as the dual credit program for Galena Park ISD.

Ms. Serrano is a proud North Shore Senior High alumnus. A former high school teacher with five years of experience, she now serves as an academic advisor. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's degree in School Counseling. She is dedicated to helping students achieve their post-secondary goals. In her role, she guides students to take advantage of valuable opportunities like scholarships and internships, while also overseeing the Dual Credit Program, which allows students to get ahead in their educational journey. We encourage parents to reach out to her with any questions regarding academic planning and the various opportunities available for their children.

Our counselors work in partnership with other educators, parents, and community members, to ensure all students are prepared with the knowledge and skills needed to function successfully in society.
