I chose to be a Hairstylist because I find it to be a very focused profession. To get a job as one Isaac would need a Postsecondary Certificate or High School Diploma/equivalent to it.

Being a Hairstylist demands 8 to 12 hours of work a week, which is an average of about 50 hours a week. The pay for Isaac would be $10.46 hourly and $21,750 yearly. There is a decent amount of vacation time which is 1 paid week after 3 years working behind-the-chair and 1 more week once you’ve had 5 years of work as a full time Hairstylist.

Being bilingual may rarely come in handy, when a customer doesn’t speak english. Knowing how to use computer programs to run a place are both useful skills for being a Hairstylist.

There are pretty good pros when it comes to being a Hairstylist, which are free weekends being common, you meet many different people which allows for good experiences and this profession has great job security.

Although there’s some cons when being a Hairstylist which is the wage, the possibility of having bad customers and the amount of time standing up which can get tiring. The job environment for a Hairstylist is in a salon with a front desk and all the styling chairs/stations.

Later on in the future Hairstylists will be needed since they help people with giving them their desired hair which is an important thing. I feel that this profession would be good for me because styling hair is an interesting process/task in my opinion. Plus I already like to customize things and get ideas that I add onto/work to follow through with which is similar to Hairstyling.
