This school year, I made sure to prioritize my self-care and well-being, understanding how important it is to stay healthy both mentally and physically. I started by setting aside time each day for myself, whether it was reading, listening to music or just relaxing. I also made sure to get enough sleep, as I realized it helped me to stay focused throughout the day. Exercise became a key part of my routine, and found that playing outside or even stretching helped relieve stress. To manage schoolwork and avoid feeling overwhelmed, I broke tasks into smaller steps and sometimes created an agenda to stay organized. I learned to say no to some plans because that would cause me stress. Listening to music helped me get my mind away from things and cleared my brain. Talking to friends and mostly family made feel like someone had my back during times of stress. I made sure to have breaks when studying or doing missing work. Overall, taking care of myself helped me perform better in school and feel more motivated.
