This school year was full of ups and downs. One of these downs was not making the volleyball team, and it was really disappointing. I had practiced during my 6th grade year and had done my best. However, when they announced the people on the team, I wasn't called. I had hoped that my hard work would help me, but there were definitely many things that I needed to improve. It was tough since I really wanted to be on the team. After some time, though I realized that it was probably for the best, but didn't give up. In class we always work on our volleyball skills. Since then, I started noticing that my serves and my bumps are getting better. Not making the team was a hard experience, but it taught me to keep going and not let failure stop me.
