No Thien today, which all but halted our forward progress. We were able to gather a couple bench results, cutting time in the future but still not helping us now. Official, supplemented testing should begin very soon.

Today we got our tenth participant, who was able to make it all the way up to level 5 in the hot sauce testing. We are happy to have this many people, and are confident in our future endeavors for the project. 

Today was extremely rough. While we decided to potentially use the Smith Machine due to it being more readily available, we ran into some issues with it. First was a lack of a physical bench, which is needed to perform our tests. We also had no information on how much the bar itself weighed, which is a critical piece of information.

While no lab work was done, we did spend the time brainstorming exactly what could be done. No specific conclusion was reached, but good ideas were discussed, such finding a teacher that is available to come supervise us during 6th hours.

Our first official trial is complete!!! We went up during 3rd hour, and decided to use free weights due to their availability and ease of use. This made things run efficiently and smoothly, and gave us proof of concept on how to run future trials.
