Hunter and Thien worked on scheduling more people to research today. They scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday 6th hour and Friday 3rd hour. Thien and Hunter are trying to get as many testing days as possible but 3rd hour this week is mostly busy for both of them besides Friday.
Today our participant bailed on us. So instead, we worked on figuring out how we want to give the preworkout to people. We decided that it would be best to make it before to be more efficient. However, we had difficulties finding a proper storage container to put the drink, so we decided to look around the lab. We found many glass flasks, and with the permission of Mr. Rasmus, cleaned them and set them out to dry to use to hold the preworkout overnight. They also decided that it would be best to find a fridge, but the mini fridge in the lab is too small.
Hunter and Thien weighed out and made the preworkout like they had planned on Tuesday to save time. Today they made the preworkout for 4 different participants with varying levels of caffeine, so each person got a unique amount of caffeine that was based off of their weight. They used the flasks they cleaned on Tuesday to hold the drink. Then, Thien and Hunter went to the science pods to find a teacher willing to store the mysterious looking flasks in their fridge. In the end, Mrs. Billy agreed to help.
Thomas C and Peter J were tested during 6th hour today. Both of them did their caffeine testing since they have already completed their control and hot sauce tests. That means we have two more participants completely done with their testing. Yay progress!
Today Thien had an appointment so he wasn't here during 6th hour. However, Thien and Hunter met during 3rd hour to try and run caffeine tests on Joe and Jamisen. However, this didn't work our due to time. So instead, they talked about how they plan to administer the preworkout since it takes time to get all of the supplies and to pull people out of class. The 30 minute waiting time for preworkout to activate makes the timing very tight and hard to work around. They deduced that they would give the preworkout to the participants at the end of the hour before 3rd or 6th hour.
