Today was a turning point in our process. Our hot sauce finally arrived, which meant we could finally understand what we were working with. This involved a somewhat thorough taste test, culminating in trying (and not dying from) a hot sauce that has 2 million Scoville units. This absolutely dwarfs your common jalapeno, which only has around 2500-8000 Scoville units.Â
THIEN IS BACK!!! The project officially has taken off, with Thien being shown all the things he's missed thus far. This included a tour through all the hotsauces, pre-workout, and our fancy shaker cup we utilize for our project. Thien's return marks a bright future ahead for our project, where participants can finally be tested.
Room temperature monster may taste like hot pee, but that didn't deter us from a solid workday. We edited our spreadsheet with some sage suggestions from Doc R, and handed out another permission TWO permission slips. We're hoping to get in as many as we can before Winter Break, and we're optimistic it will happen.
Merry Solstice everyone! Holiday cheer was all around as we did our annual secret snowflake gift exchange. Thien was able to be in the classroom today, which is always a plus. We look forward to the productive new year ahead of us!
