We "Heart" Business Daily Report

Student Task:

  • to inform your classmates of business happenings, either locally or globally, throughout your assigned week (2 per student)
  • to relate and apply the business news to our business curriculum, using business vocabulary and terminology as much as possible
  • to assess and monitor your own learning as a member of the business class


During your Presentation, you will be expected to:

  • summarize the story
  • identify and explain business concepts
  • prepare 3 discussion questions for the class
  • allow for class discussion (and guide as necessary)
  • provide a personal opinion

Please Note:

  • your presentation should be 5-10 minutes in length with time for questions and/or discussion
  • you are required to submit a copy of the article on the date of your presentation


Curriculum Expectations:

  • demonstrate an understanding of how businesses respond to needs,wants, supply, and demand
  • explain the importance of ethical behaviour and social responsibility with respect to employees, the environment, and communities
  • describe the impact of business on the local community
  • explain controversial business issues from a local, national, and international perspective
  • demonstrate business teamwork skills to carry out projects and solve problems
  • define basic terms used in business
  • use information and communication technology for a variety of business purposes
