Mr. Stevenson joined the A. B. Lucas as Department Head in 2009. Paul has been a music educator for over 27 years. He has a passion for music and creating musical opportunities for all students to discover not only their own abilities, but the rich diversity that music brings.

Paul is a graduate of Western University where he completed his MMus in Literature and Performance, a BMus in Performance, and an Artist Diploma. Paul received his Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor.

Outside of the classroom Paul works as a freelance musician. He has played for such international artists as Michael Bolton, Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Diana Krall, Roger Hodgson, Natalie Cole, Aretha Franklin, and many others. For over 30 years, Paul has been principal trumpet of Brassroots, a 10-piece brass and percussion ensemble, and is also principal trumpet with the Jeans and Classics Rock Symphony.
