There are several options offered by TVDSB Summer School listed below. Students may only take ONE summer course each year. This can be one full credit course, or two half credit courses (e.g. Civics, Careers), or Credit Improvement (only available for ENG4U and MHF4U).
eLearning New Credit (ONLINE)
Can be completed online any time of day.
Office hours will be offered by teachers.

NOTE: Devices will not be provided by summer school for learners.
Registration opens: Tuesday, March 17
Registration closes: June 17 at 12pm
Classes run: Monday, June 20 - Friday, July 25, 2025 (approximately 6 hours of coursework per day)
Half credit classes (Careers and Civics) run: June 30 - July 11, 2025 and July 14 - July 25, 2025
Credit Improvement available for two courses: ENG4U and MHF4U
students can register for both of these improvement opportunities as they run in two week blocks
Mark is based solely on the work produced during this work period and will show on transcript along with original course mark
student must have completed the original course during the 2024-25 school year to qualify for improvement
Full disclosure date: July 20th. Unsuccessful attempts in a grade 11 or 12 summer school course will appear on a student's transcript with the percentage grade obtained, unless the student withdraws from the course prior to the full disclosure date
Please note, registration is based on first come, first served. Once a course is full, it will be removed from MyBlueprint and no wait list will be available. This may happen before the registration deadline, dependent upon demand.

Summer Co-op
Two credit program
Options include in-person paid work and volunteer opportunities, as well as virtual mentor opportunities

Summer Travel for Credit
TVDSB is offering a domestic careers/civics (CHV/GLC) opportunity (Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal)
The company is offering other itineraries which students can sign up for, but those are not TVDSB affiliated.

High School Here I Come
For incoming grade 9 students
NOT credit bearing
Registration opens: currently open
Registration done through MyBlueprint (please see your Elementary Pathway Lead for registration support)
Program runs as two full days: either Monday August 18 - 19th OR Wednesday Aug 20 - 21st.
Students are placed in groups and will be notified the week before
Time: 8:30am - 12:30pm

High School MATH Here I Come and High School ENGLISH Here I Come
For incoming grade 9 students who would like to sharpen their math and/or English skills before the school year begins.
Can take one or both. If students complete BOTH math and English, they will earn a learning strategies credit.
