You can start accumulating those hours in the summer before Gr.9! We encourage you to try and complete all the hours by the end of Gr.10. Volunteering is an opportunity to learn more about yourself by allowing you to build up self-confidence, gain valuable experiences, and explore possible career paths! Ineligible activities include: 

• Activities that take place during the time allotted for the instructional program on a school day; however, an activity that takes place during the student's lunch breaks or spare periods is permissible;

• Payment for any community involvement activity;

• household chores are no longer permissible as community hours.
