WHAT ARE MUSIC MONDAYS? HOW DID WE START THIS IDEA?
Music Mondays are something that the Music Department adopted in 2020. Every Monday of each week, the music department chooses a song/cover/piece (off YouTube) that we feel could brighten someone's life or make someone's week better. We started this idea in September of 2020 and decided it would be something that the community could look forward to each week. Coming up with the idea of posting a link to a particular piece was inspired by Mr. and Mrs. Lam. Most classes that Mr. and Mrs. Lam have get the opportunity to listen to what they call a 'Musical Moment'. With COVID, students have realized how much 'Musical Moments' make their life better and give them time to reflect, think and come to conclusions about music. Each student in the music room knows what a 'Musical Moment' is and love the fact that they get to listen to something new every class. It is something that students want to keep a tradition! That is why we started our own MUSIC MONDAYS with our own 'Musical Moments'.
