WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF THE BOOKS??
WHAT IS THE BATTLE OF THE BOOKS??
It is an annual event held by Santa Barbara County where students compete in a quiz-show-style "battle" with students from every school in the county. They test their knowledge on a specified selection of age-appropriate books in groups and scores are tallied before the final round, where the top two teams battle for the win!
This event is open to any student in grades 4, 5, or 6, but each school is limited to FIVE (5) participants.

We will be reading some of these together as a Book Club this year, so please stay tuned for more information.
To be eligible for the Battle of the Books competition in April, you must:

have read AT LEAST 15 of these books before Spring Break, 2024
Be in 4th, 5th, or 6th grade in the 2023-2024 school year
The final team is only 5 students, so the more you read, the better chances you have!
