Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship instruction is more important than ever with our shift to remote learning. Below you will find the matrix of lessons our TTL Committee generated. Many additional resources are available through Common Sense Media. Please report any issues that come up to your principal.

iBoss Filter: Our GUSD filter continues to filter all GUSD accounts and GUSD distributed devices. Principals receive and review reports. Should a student engage in searches that are unsafe or inappropriate, principals will work with teachers and support staff as needed to talk with that student's parents.

"Zoombombing" is a new phenomenon in which hackers join a Zoom session to cause trouble with inappropriate content. Requiring a password to join a session should prevent this in most cases. However, teachers should be prepared to "end the session" if such an event occurs. Please report any such incident to your principal.
