Assessment




During school closures, GUSD teachers and staff will not be administering common benchmark assessments. California has also suspended State testing such as SBAC and ELPAC testing. Teachers and Staff will use formative assessments to provide students feedback on their learning. Formative assessments may be more structured, such as a common exit ticket, or they can simply be a review of an assigned activity with a specific skill in mind. Grade level teams can work together to decide what formative assessments will best serve them. The goal of using formative assessments during remote learning is to provide students feedback on their learning.

It is not clear yet what spring report cards will look like, but please consider that you may need to be aware of the standards your students are making progress on.
