Social Studies Arftifact 

I did my first social studies read aloud lesson plan. I incorperated social studies in a first grade classroom to get the studetns enganged with the world and culture more. 

This arfticat is important to me because I have never thought about doing a social studies lesson within a read aloud. This taught me that there are so many ways to incorporate social studies in the classroom.

Standard 2. Application of Content Through Planning 

This artifact is evidence of growth because I had to plan learning sequences that leverage social studies knowledge and literacies with the book that I chose. 

Standard 5. Professional Responsibility and Informed Action 

This artifact also shows that I attend to issues of equity, diversity, access, power, human rights, and social justice within their schools and/or communities.
