Regulations of Burapha University

 Flat-Rate Registration and Tuition Fees for Undergraduate Programs

International College

B.E. 2563


According to the Act of Burapha University, Section 21 (14), issued in 2007 (B.E. 2550), and the resolution of the Finance and Property Committee in the 12th/2020 (B.E. 2563) meeting on 13 November 2020 B.E. 2563, the Acting Burapha University Council Committee has announced the following in 11th/2020 (B.E. 2563) on 26 November 2020 (B.E. 2563).


Item 1 This regulation is known as ‘Burapha University Regulation of Flat-Rate Registration and Tuition Fees for Undergraduate Programs, International College, 2020 (B.E. 2563). 


Item 2 Starting in Fall 2021 (B.E. 2564), this regulation will be effective for students who enroll in the college. 


Item 3 In this regulation:

‘University’ refers to Burapha University.

‘College’ refers to Burapha University International College.

‘Students’ mean Burapha University undergraduate students and students from other institutions that register to study subjects offered by the university.

‘Regular students’ refer to full-time and part-time students in regular teaching and learning programs. This group also includes students who study during work time or partially study at irregular times.

‘Remaining credits’ refer to the amount of credits that the students must enroll for to complete their degree, based on the program structure.

‘Program duration’ refers to the duration of the program as specified in the program handbook.

‘Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)’ refers to projects that Burapha University International College has with local and international educational institutions and business organizations.


Item 4 The registration and tuition fees should be paid as shown in the table below.

(A) Regular Students: Thai Students and Foreign Students

(B) Students who enroll in the college by MOU should pay the registration and tuition fees as stated in the MOU.

If a program has been revised, but fee changes have not been approved, then payments should be based on this regulation until such time that the new fees are approved.


Item 5 Payment of other fees:

1. Maintaining student status fee 2,000 baht per semester

2. Changing faculty fee 2,000 baht per time

3. Changing major fee 1,000 baht per time

4. Credit transfer fee 500 baht per time

For students that have lost their student status because they did not register or because their registration was incomplete, the student must pay the student registration fee of 2,000 baht and pay the fine listed in Item 8 below.


Item 6 Externals (local and foreign) who would like to enroll in one of the college’s programs must pay 12,000 baht per course. Foreign externals must also pay the following university maintenance fees:

Fall and Spring 20,000 baht per semester

Summer 10,000 baht per semester


Item 7 Students who are approved to take an intermission leave or who are suspended must pay the fee in item 5.1 above to maintain their student status.


Item 8 Students who pay the registration fee late or who request to have their student status reinstated must pay a fine at the rate of 12% per year of the registration fee.  The fine will be charged monthly, and fractions of a month will be treated as one full month.


Item 9 Reduction or exemption of university registration and tuition fees may be possible if the university determines that they are necessary.  Any fee reduction or exemption will be considered by the university Finance and Property Committee.

Reduction or exemption of college registration and tuition fees may also be possible. The Board Committee of the college will consider fee reductions or exemptions. Then, any fee reductions or exemptions will be proposed to the university for approval by the Finance and Property Committee.

 

Item 10 If students will study abroad according to their study plan or based on an MOU, then the students do not have to pay a fee to maintain their student status.


Item 11 If a student has reached the maximum number of years allowed for study but has not completed all of the required credits and has not graduated, then the student must pay registration and tuition fee as follows:

1. If a student has less than 9 credits left, then the student will be charged one half of the registration and tuition fee for the fall and spring semesters.

2. If a student has more than 9 credits left, then the student will be charged the full amount of the registration and tuition fee for the fall and spring semesters.


Item 12 Registration and tuition fee payment dates will be based on announcements made by Burapha University.


Item 13 Students who enrolled in the college before Fall 2021 (B.E. 2564) should follow the regulations listed below:


Item 14     The President of Burapha University will follow the regulations stated in this document.

In cases where there are other activities not stated in this regulation or in cases where there are problems related to this regulation, the Finance and Property Committee will consider the issues and then propose solutions to the President. The President’s decision will be final.

Remark: The announcement of this regulation has been made based on the change of registration and tuition fee payment from a number-of-credits basis to a flat-rate basis. Moreover, this announcement separates the rate of registration and tuition fees for each department.
