Nova Scotia Homework Hub connects students in grades 4-12 with math tutors and is available in French!
Sunday to Thursday 5:30pm to 9:30pm (Grades 7-12)
Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 530pm to 630pm (Grades 4-6)
NOTE: Though there are many ideas listed below, you are encouraged to select activities that are interesting and engaging for your child. The goal is to provide children with opportunities to use the French they have learned. No evaluation is linked to any of these home learning experiences.

Halifax public library is a great way to access resources in English and French. You can sign up for a digital library card and use it to borrow books, videos, music and access lots of other great resources from home.

Curium is a science, technology and society magazine for teens. Each month they cover new technologies, environmental problems (and solutions), video game reviews and more.
This month, a story about how to cope with social and performance anxiety. (Gr. 8-12)
Low-tech/offline ideas
Have your student call a friend on the telephone.
Choose a DVD/video you may have at home and change the settings to French.
Ask your student to teach you or a sibling how to say some sentences in French that they have learned.
Your student can teach you and/or other family members how to play a game in French
Using a book they've read recently, create a comic to summarize the story in French
Students can change the lyrics to their favorite song so that they are in French.
Have your child choose a topic and create a 3-minute monologue. If possible, they can record themself and choose 2 areas to work on.
Students may wish to keep a daily journal. They could write about likes and dislikes, their feelings about being at home, etc.
