Even though we have to stay home like the little gnome, we can all find ways to learn together!
That is the best thing about learning, it can be done anywhere ... everywhere ... and at anytime!
Let's continue our learning journey together!
Letter to Parents and Caregivers,
With this learning plan, my hope is to support you and your family during these circumstances.
My goal is to honour children where they are at. This is a new experience for all of us; we are adapting in our own ways. The beautiful thing is that we are all resilient (especially kids!). I hope my lessons bring a sense of normalcy to these not-so-normal times.
In the classroom one of my goals is to create a rhythm and routine that is both predictable and flexible. Creating your own home rhythm will help support your child and their overall wellbeing.
Slow it down, take your time, be gentle with yourself and your family.Do what works for you. If you can't do the daily lessons, don't! If you can only do some of what I post...great! Right now, the wellbeing of you and your family is the most important thing.
If you need me, let me know. I am here for you and your children!
Keep it kind,
Ms.Carleigh
How do I use this site...?! Where should I start?
Each week I will add a new link on the top bar to access learning; they will be organized by week. At the end of the week I will put it in under the "Home" button, look for "Past Weeks".
Week 1/2: April 8th - April 10th
Week 1: April 13th - 17th
Week 2: April 20th-24th
Week 3: April 27th- May 1st
The first few learning items the children can do daily such as poety, mindfullness activties, outdoor learning, chapter book read aloud, guided drawing, and reading.
If you keep scrolling down, each day has its own "Learning Workshop". This is either a math, writing, or reading lesson. Students can independently watch the video lesson I created, then give it a try themselves. When they are done, I encourgae children to talk about their learning with you (or another family memeber) If this part is not possible because of life, I get it, don't worry!
***Again, these are different and unusual times. All of what I post is optional. I will not be grading your child (or you!) at how well you follow along or complete lessons. These have been made to help support you and your children at home. Do what you can, and don't worry. I'm just happy to help in the ways I can.
