The SETT Framework (Zabala, 2010) should be considered when considering student supports:
Student - what are the student's strengths, challenges and interests?
Environment - where are the environments where the student requires support?
Tasks - what are the specific tasks the student requires support with?
Tools - what tools could support the student?
ATSWs work with students in the school setting to:
Support student use of various types of equipment, technology, and applications.
Troubleshoot, problem solve and upgrade equipment and technology.
Provide support and on-going training for students and staff as required.
