Read&Write for Google Chrome is a Chrome extension that provides literacy support in Google Docs, Google Slides and websites. It is installed by default on all student GNSPES accounts. Staff add it by searching for it and installing from the Chrome Web Store.
Read&Write for Google Chrome is a Chrome extension that provides literacy support in Google Docs, Google Slides and websites. It is installed by default on all student GNSPES accounts. Staff add it by searching for it and installing from the Chrome Web Store.
Features include:
word prediction
text to speech with dual colour highlighting
speech to text and voice notes
text and picture dictionaries
highlight information then collect highlights and create vocabulary lists
simplify websites to reduce visual clutter

Topics can now be created from a page or a selection of text to provide custom topics for specific word prediction when writing.

OrbitNote Modern
OrbitNote makes PDFs more accessible for students. Features include:
most of the same tools found in Read & Write
OCR scanning to ensure text can be read aloud
adding comments and typing directly on a PDF using word prediction and speech to text
Google Classroom integration so students can hand in PDFs within the app and teachers can leave feedback
