Biology Reading #1- Struggle is Good - POSTED in the GOOGLE CLASSROOM Why would Ms Holmes give this out in Biology 11? What is the relevance? What lesson or moral is she trying to teach? Should be approximately one paragraph in length. DUE by Wednesday, February 11th on paper hand in to Ms Holmes. DUE AT THE START OF CLASS
Read The Cell Theory on Page 9- Handout- Assignment- hand this page in Due by Monday, Febraury 9th at the start of class

Google Slides " Development of the Cell Theory" -Cell Theory Notes TIMELINE assignment Due on Wednesday, February 11th
What is Abiogenesis and Biogenesis?
Biogenesis means making new living things. More specifically, it is the theory that living things only come from other living things through reproduction. Abiogenesis, sometimes called spontaneous generation, means life coming from non-living things.
Analysis Questions following Timeline Assignment
1. Why is it important for scientists to share their research findings?
2. What would happen if scientists did not publish their research results?
3. Explain the impact of the development of the microscope on the study of biology?
4. Thinking back to the theory of abiogenesis, how did a change in experimental results impact views in the scientific community?
Answer Questions #1-#4 on Page 6 Reflect on your Learning- Be prepared to know this for an assessment within the next week.
