Getting Help at the IWK Mental Health and Addictions
Central Referral: 902-464-4110
When a child or teen has a mental health or addictions problem, the IWK can help. They will work with your family to provide the best care and treatment possible. It is preferred that parents make the call with the child so that they can ask specific questions.
How it works:
Step 1: Family calls the IWK Central Referral 902-464-2110 and press 1 to book an appointment.
Step 2: Staff will collect information and give you a CHOICE appointment
Step 3: You attend your CHOICE appointment with an IWK clinician and get to:
Talk about your child or family's mental health or addictions.
Learn about available services and treatments
Work out together what options best fit your family.
IWK can see someone again if there is less than three months since their final appointment
