Beginning Band Without Barriers
The baritone and euphonium have eight main parts as labeled below (euphonium). They are made from brass and are very similar, with the main difference being the shape. A baritone has a smaller bell than a euphonium and the tubing is the same diameter throughout. The tubing is the same length as the euphonium but it is more tightly wrapped, making the instrument a bit more complact and easier to hold. The euphonium is slightly wider and heavier, and also requires a larger lung capacity than the baritone, making the baritone a better suited choice for beginners.Â
