In addition to the support from trained school counsellors, students are able to access further Mental Health support in the school setting from NSHA-trained mental health professionals and clinicians.  Below we have also shared a variety of additional mental health and addictions resources and online support links:

How to refer yourself for mental health/addictions support through NS Health Authority:

**It is as simple as a phone call! **

You can access this referral process independently or a school counsellor could assist you with this process if you wish.

*The intake person will ask you your contact info, health card number and talk with you about what supports you are seeking.  You can decide if you would like to see a mental health clinician here at AVHS or at the Hants Community Hospital.  All calls are confidential.
