About the Courses I Teach

Civics

Civics is the study of the rights and duties of citizens. This year we will be learning about what it takes to be a good citizen of America as well as gaining an understanding of the Constitution and the role it plays in our lives every day. We will also be learning about the branches of government and their roles from the national level all the way down to the local and state levels. Students will have an opportunity to analyze primary sources and compile information in order to craft well-written essays.

Please be aware that Civics is a yearlong course and students will not be awarded credit for this course until you have completed all the course curriculum and the End of Course Exam at the end of the school year.
