I was born and raised in Gainesville, FL where I attended Terwilliger Elementary and Fort Clarke Middle. In High School I moved to Alachua and attended Santa Fe High School. While in High School I participated on the Track and Field and Cross-Country Teams as well as dabbling in Musical Theater, March Band, and Weightlifting. I was also a member of National Honors Society, SADD, KEY Club, Interact, FCA, and many more. After graduating High School I went to Santa Fe Community College and graduated with my Associate of Arts Degree in History. After that I went on to the University of Florida (Go Gators!!!!!) and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in History and a minor in Education. While in college I participated in the Color Guard with the University of Florida Marching Band and was given the privilege of attending the 2006 National Football Game in Arizona. It was amazing I must add. My first teaching job after graduating college was at Williston Middle School teaching History, but after a couple years, I made the move back to Gainesville. I am currently in my 11th year of teaching at Kanapaha, 13th year total. In 2018, I graduated with my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Leo University.
