Access Mental Health

Alberta Health Services (AHS)

Access Mental Health Intake 403-943-1500 (press option for children and adolescents)

Referrals only via Access Mental Health for all ages with moderate to severe addiction and mental health concerns. Individual therapy, group therapy, and psychiatric consultation available.

Urgent Mental Health

Urgent Mental Health: Mental health clinicians offer assessments, therapeutic interventions, consultation and resources to individuals presenting with urgent mental health needs.

The Alex is home to the Youth Health Centre in Calgary. The health centre provides several groups and other health resources for youth from ages 12-24.

Youth Services & Supports

The McMan Family Resource Network provides the following services for youth:

Tuesdays from 2-6 pm at the Charles Clark Medical Centre

This clinic offers the following walk-in services to all teens and young adults up to the age of 27:

Mental health counseling sessions are offered at this clinic, with a booked appointment. These sessions are designed to deal with anxiety, depression, or reduction of stressful circumstances.

Rapid Access Counselling - Catholic Family Service

Catholic Family Service offers Rapid Access Counselling to anyone who needs across Alberta. This service is affordable and is pay what you can afford. You do not have to be Catholic to access any of these resources. In-person sessions are for people located in Calgary and virtual outside of Calgary.

There is a low wait time to access rapid access counselling (connect to a counsellor within 3 business days) and takes place via video or phone call. If a student at our school has an appointment during the day, we are able to accommodate with a quiet space to complete their session.
